Discovering Carlton, Oregon

If you haven't done so yet, discovering Carlton, Oregon may be something you want to add to your to do list.

Nestled in the heart of Oregon wine country, Carlton is a little turn of the century railroad town filled with history. Each year they celebrate Cartlon fun days the last Saturday of June. This is a festive occaision with a parade, a pancake breakfast, a fair, games, dancing and general fun for everyone. Also the wineries are open year round, though they get very busy during the summer months.

Close to Carlton are opportunities for fishing, hunting, and hiking. The Pacific northwest offers a variety of outdoor activities for people of all ages and abilities, and Carlton is no exception to this rule.

The downtown boutique shops in Carlton are a lot of fun. Wild Lines tattoos is an oddity that is not typical of the small town atmosphere, but brings a measure of the eclectic to the place. Dining at Cuvee is unparalleled anywhere in the area.

If you are looking for a cozy escape from the city, then I recommend Carlton to you.
